According to data from the Texas Department of State Health Services, there were 150 heat-related deaths in Texas in 2019. However, it's important to note that this number may not represent the complete picture, as heat-related deaths can sometimes be under-reported or misclassified. It's crucial to take precautions during hot weather, such as staying hydrated, seeking shade, and avoiding excessive exposure to the sun, to prevent heat-related injuries.
